A beautiful venue for truly such a lovely couple!

Here Sam tells us all about her experience planning an overseas wedding with Barcelona Brides and the highlights of her perfect Casa Felix Wedding Day.

Describe your Barcelona wedding day in 3 words! BEST. DAY. EVER!

What was your favourite memory from your Barcelona wedding? Can I say everything?! I would say above everything was having our family and friends join us in one of the most wonderful cities for our most special day. We also really loved our band, Stereo Star Band. They really know how to get a party going!

Why did you choose Barcelona as your wedding destination? My fiance and I visited before COVID and just fell in love with the culture, the food, and the setting. I have family roots in Spain as well and it just felt like the perfect place to start our lives together.

What did you love most about your wedding dress? How and where did you find it? It’s funny actually, I found the dress by accident really. I picked out a completely different style and when my mom and sister felt they had seen enough of that, they suggested I try on something else. So I tried on this last dress the attendant picked out and it was perfect! I loved that when I walked out with it on to show my mom and sister the song “September” by Earth, Wind & Fire was playing which was my wedding date (9/21/21!)- also, the designer is Pronovias, a Barcelona designer. It was a no brainer! I found my dress at Elizabeth Johns in Morristown, NJ.

If you did it all again what might you change? NOTHING! The day was everything I had dreamed of and more. Rebecca and her team at Barcelona Brides really pulled out all the stops to make it the most perfect day.

Tell us about the blooms. What was your favourite thing about your wedding flowers? I loved the simplicity of my flowers. I had white flowers with a lot of greenery. My colours were two different shades of sage and the greenery complimented them so well. I also loved that where we got married had such a beautiful setting that the simple arrangements really brought an elegance to the venue and didn’t take anything away from the aesthetic of Casa Felix.

What is your advice for other couples getting married in Barcelona? HIRE BARCELONA BRIDES! You won’t be disappointed and it will make planning 1,000 times easier and enjoyable 🙂 Aside from that, I would highly consider looking into Sitges. It is such a cool little beach community with breathtaking views and only 15 minutes from our fabulous venue.

What cultural aspects did you include in your big day? FOOD AND CAVA! We made sure to immerse our guests in the delicious food and drinks Spain has to offer. Our caterers, Monchos and Bear on Bike were spectacular. They really brought the flavors and freshness of Spain’s best foods.

Client review:

To say Rebecca and her team executed the most perfect wedding, is an understatement. I had been working with Barcelona Brides for 16 months in the midst of the pandemic and being in the states and her team in Barcelona so I was freaking out… but Rebecca put me at ease every time I needed to talk. She was patient, responsive and extremely easy to work with. She found all of my vendors and made my vision come to life. I knew I wanted a wedding planner as I was planning a wedding abroad but I didn’t anticipate how wonderful it would be to work with one. Rebecca and her assistant Maily went ABOVE AND BEYOND to make sure everything was taken care of and made us feel so special. I cannot say enough good things about Barcelona Brides- if you are considering a wedding planner in Barcelona, do not hesitate to hire them! You won’t regret it and your wedding will be everything you dreamed it to be and more (like mine :)) I am so sad the day is over and want to relive it again and again. THANK YOU REBECCA & MAILY FOR THE BEST DAY!
