It was a joy to plan Mary and Simon’s Mas Sendra wedding which took place on a beautiful long June day, and there was even more to celebrate with the Queen’s Jubilee, and the symbolic union of this gorgeous couple from Stockport. Describe your Mas Sendra wedding day in 3 words!

Personal, beautiful and memorable.

What was your favourite memory from your Mas Sendra wedding?

Looking around to see everyone you love in one place, cutting the cake.

Why did you choose Barcelona for your wedding?

Barcelona holds a special place in both our hearts and we love the city so much, Girona is such a beautiful Mediterranean wedding destination.

What did you love most about your wedding dress? How and where did you find it?

My add on sleeves I had for the evening, they gave the dress a Spanish vibe and it made it super sassy! Found my dress in a small boutique in North Yorkshire in England, Madewithlove bridal brand

If you did it all again what might you change?

Maybe get married an hour earlier so the day can feel slightly longer.

Tell us about the blooms. What was your favourite thing about your Mas Sendra wedding flowers?

The natural flowers we had were so beautiful, they brought in slight colour without being overwhelming. Loved them!

What is your advice for other couples getting married in Barcelona?

Make your wedding as personable as you can, there are no rules!

What cultural aspects did you include in your big day?

The food, Mediterranean cuisine tapas feel was our absolute favourite.

What song brings you back to the day and why?

Our wedding song, looking back at our photos and remembering looking around to see family and friends is a feeling you won’t ever forget. Van Morrison-“Have I told you lately”.
